Dr Adrian Alcide Landry served as a Captain in the US Army Medical Corps during WW1 and was stationed at Fort Beauregard, Louisiana where he became Chief of the Medical Service in 1918. Many of his original documents have been preserved by his family and we are most grateful to Angela Naquin, his great great grand-daughter, for permission to publish a selection of papers relating to the medical service at Camp Beauregard Base Hospital during the war.
* Photographs taken at the Base Hospital, Camp Beauregard
* Regulations for the examination of the cardiovascular system of new recruits and criteria for acceptance and rejection
* The Medical Service at the Base Hospital at Camp Beauregard, Louisiana during WW1
* Some statistics including two graphs made by Dr Landry, illustrating the impact of the influenza epidemic on the Camp during September - October 1918.
* The text of a paper jointly written by Dr Landry and Dr Hamley on 126 cases of epidemic cerebrospinal meningitis at Camp Beauregard. The article was published in the American JournaI of the Medical Sciences, February, 1919, No. 2, vol. CLVII, p. 210.
