Does anyone know the fort that can be seen on the upper edge of this photo?
The shape seems to be quite characteristic due to the second double caponnière on the right lower corner and the fact that the entrance is not exactly in the middle:

It is most certain one of the Verdun forts. Which one? Going to look it up.

Yeah, it is most probably a Séré-de-Rivières fort. I know many foreign fortresses from the same era, but they look all different.

In the meantime, I found that fort d'Hirson is quite similar to the unknown fort. There is however a difference in the entry - Hirson has it far more on the right.
